I did some more rougher sketches and deeper shading to work on my compositions and I came up with a few more concepts for my lil’ project.
Getting closer :3
I have a request from a friend to design a logo and facebook wall piece for her new shop, “Shrinking Violet” and while I’m working hard on designing sketches, it’s taking longer than I though and I shall upload the final pieces (and all the photos of the design stages) in a later post.
Shrinking Violet
Notes: Girl holding violet-like umbrella standing next to a toadstool with surrounding violets while it’s raining.
Sorry the post is relatively short, but I’ll see you tomorrow :3
I made some small illustrations in a new style I’m trying out, dubbed “Wack!” There will be more to come, for sure, but I want to see what you guys think.
I like the style of bold linework with the glow of colour. It’s, well… Bold! 😀
It shows colour and attitude despite the minimal use of colours themselves and this method of illustration is good (for me) because I can do them quickly and anywhere I like, just need a fineliner and a few pencils.
Just another couple of sketches to add to the collection: The Miner Mole and The Guide Goat. It’s a continuing development of The Animal Kingdom and the current progress is 12 out of 26, so I’m nearly halfway. It’s a long process, but it will reflect upon the time and effort spent to visualise this concept well. It’ll also show a development in my drawing skills since all those months ago that I started this.
Hope you enjoy the drawings and glad to have all you followers bear with me on this “journey” of sorts. See you tomorrow for the Haiku.
